Email

A while back I got locked out of my email account. I've lost all of my contact information, so I don't have anybody's e-mail address. I will be happy to give anyone who wants our contact info. As long as I know you. If you will email me at my new address I'll be sure to get our information to you. New address KendraCannon5(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks

Day out with Hailey

If you take Hailey out she'll want to dress her very best. Even when going to work. You'll wonder why everyone is asking if its her Birthday. Then you'll finally figure out that not everyone wears a tiara everywhere they go.Eventually she'll get hungry and want something to eat. In all of the excitement of going to a restaurant she'll forget how to sit on a chair.

After lunch you'll want to go shopping. Hailey will cure you of that right away. And you'll go home wondering if life will ever be normal again.
Life might not be normal with Hailey around, but I love it all the same.

Quarterly Report!

Some people want to know if I still have a blog. The Answer is always yes, but don't waste your time I NEVER write in it. Then there are those who would like to know if we are still alive. The answer yep, we are still alive and doing quiet well. Thanks for your concern. We are feeling the love!
I have three little girls that keep me on my toes and are always making me laugh. So there is stuff to write about. I'll try to be better maybe I'll commit to 2 posts a month. I could probably do that. But, I don't think I'll apologize anymore if I don't.
So what have we been up to since I last posted?(sorry no pictures and it could get long)

1. We've moved into our house! We've actually been in for over 4 month, but I don't think I ever wrote about it. I love our house. I don't think we could have found anything that fit our wants and needs better if we had tried. We have a park right around the corner and a lake that's a couple of minutes away. One of my favorite things is to walk Camren to the bus stop in the morning. You can see the lake with sailboats on it. It reminds me of being in a little ocean town. Its so peaceful and relaxing. A great way to start your morning. Right now its just cold, but it is something to look forward to again in the spring.
2. We have a great sledding hill in our back yard. The girls are loving the snow this year. They go out whenever they want and they actually stay out for a really long time. Of course when its time to come in they always need their hot cocoa.
3. We spent Thanksgiving in Idaho with my family. Seeing family always makes me wish we were closer. My mom and I went Shopping on Black Friday. It was so much fun. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun shopping. My mom also watched to kids so I could drag Chris to see "Twilight" with me. He actually ended up liking it more that I did! We also got to see some of Chris's family over Thanksgiving. I love it when he gets to be with his family. They usually don't talk that often, but when they get together I'm always reminded why he is so much better than I am.
4. About 2 month ago we took Camren to the ER for a concussion. Camren was trying to hang upside down from an exercise tower in the basement and fell right on the top of her head onto our cement floor.(Ooch) I knew that I at least needed to take her to the doctor. I called Chris to see when he was coming home. While I was on the phone with Chris, Camren starts yelling "I can't see". I hang up on Chris, run all of the girls to the car and head for the doctors office. We must have look pretty funny when we got there. Hailey and Sadie had both just woke up from naps and I didn't put shoes or socks on any of them. I was crying and Camren was hunched over on the stroller. Luckily, Chris figured out where we were at and met us there. So we got in to see the doctor pretty quick. He confirmed that see had a concussion. He was telling us that she should be alright, but to watch her carefully for the next couple of hours. Guess Camren didn't like that answer so she threw up on him. I've been debating switching doctors. Guess now would be a good time to do it. Anyways back to the story. Throwing up is a bad sign. We were told if she throws up more than 3 times she would need to go to the ER for a CatScan. I think by the time we made it to the ER she had thrown up 8 times. So Camren had her first and hopefully only CatScan which Thankfully came back clear.

Okay this is already to long. I didn't even get to December. I'll just try to post more instead of going on in these long posts. See what I mean though I have plenty to write about.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season and a Very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Family Fun

Saturday was such a nice day I couldn't resist taking the girls over to the mall to play at the little spray park they have. They had a wonderful time. It always makes me happy when Camren and Hailey are playing and giggling together. Their favorite thing was to stand over one of the fountains until the water would shoot up and hit them in the face. Looked like it would hurt to me, but they couldn't get enough.

It was starting to get a little to cold out and I wasn't prepared to stay that long, but nobody wanted to go home either. So I ran over to the kids store and got them each a new outfit. Then we strolled around until we found the candy store. Since I was in a good mood we decided to stop before dinner and have a little treat.
Then off to dinner. Camren chose Tokyo Joes. Which was okay because they had tables outside and since nobody wanted to be inside it worked out great. At dinner Chris surprised me with a plate of sushi. Whenever we've had sushi before I've always had the excuse that I'm pregnant, that excuse didn't work this time and I tried my first sushi ever. I'm not a fan. Camren asked if we would give her a dollar if she tried it. She gagged her was through it, but she got her dollar. She'll do just about anything for a dollar.
We had a great day and it was nice to be out and about. Guess we are all feeling like winter is coming to soon.

Unlucky

Well I wouldn't say that we are unlucky most of the time, actually we are usually more than blessed. Lately though that is excactly what we are with our computers. I got locked out of my email about three weeks ago. Chris set up our account about 11 or 12 years ago so naturally we don't know the information they want to get it unlocked. About a week after that our computer crashed. All of the fun pictures of our summer are gone. We did get most of our pictures back, but not the most recent ones. Guess I won't be blogging about that. We have had a couple more problems with our computers that makes it impossible to do anything quickly. I forget how much a rely on them. Anyways we are back online and hopefully we won't have anymore problems.
I am still locked out of my email though and I don't have any contact info. I don't think I'm going to get it back either. So if anyone still checks my very out of date blog. I would like email addresses. We have a new address and phone number, so in a couple of weeks I'll send all of that information out. Who knows if you give me your email address you might get a Christmas card this year!

Camping day 2

There were two elk and some deer roaming the campsite. It was fun to sit and watch them. Hailey wanted to go pet them.
Look how close they are.

The tram that took us to the top of the mountain.
Hailey and Camren having fun feeding the chipmunks.
The view from the top.

Camping

Every couple of years or so we decide we need to go on a camping trip. So we pack up the kids and into the mountains we went. Camren and Hailey were so excited because I told them camping is when your free to get as dirty as you want. They took that very literally. One of the first thing they did when we got to the campsite is rub dirt on their arms. As soon as the tent was up they started throwing dirt at it. Lots of fun!

Camren and Hailey helping dad set up the tent.

Bumper boats!! I haven't seen Camren smile this much in a long time. She loved them so much that we made two trips.
Sadie gets her first taste of Chocolate. It just goes to show Chocolate can make anyone happy.

The girls go fishing with dad.

Hailey's Birthday

Hailey had her fourth birthday! I can believe how big she is getting. She loves to dress up and anything with a princess on it.
I love it that most of the time Hailey is completely clueless when she is in trouble. The other day she was playing with her poly pockets and decieded that they needed to go for a swim. So she filled up the bathroom sink which overflowed onto our carpeted bathroom floor. I walked in and sternly asked her what she was doing. Her response was "Its okay mom I'm watching them closely so that they don't drowned."
Hailey loves to swim she just finished her first swimming lesson. She is so excited that she is not a seahorse any more. Now she is a "hog-wog" poliwog.
We are so blessed to have her energy and bubbly personality. We love you Hailey!

Graduation

Camren graduated from kindergarten to year. I can't believe how big she is. She had done such an amazing job this year. The kindergartners learned to count to 100 by 1's 2's 5's and 10's. They learned how to spell and make sentences. Camren's favorite subject is reading. She has caught on to reading and is now reading chapter books. We went to the library a couple of days ago and she informed the librarian that she reads books for 3rd to 4th graders.
A few more important things Camren learned this year is "never to steal from the school, it's not fun to go to the principals office and that she will miss her teacher." I'm not really sure why these are the things she remembers to most, but I guess they are good lessons to learn.

House update

The house is coming along nicely, but I am getting impatient. Every time we go to it I get more and more excited! Here are a few pictures of the progress.

Lost Tooth

We've been waiting for four or five days for Camren's tooth to come out. She has actually been waiting for a couple of years, but it finally started to wiggle a couple of days ago. Chris told her she should apply pressure and wiggle it back and forth. So she's been working on it. Finally yesterday morning she let me pull on it. It came out with a little bit of a struggle and I thought for sure that she would start to cry. To my surprise instead of crying as soon as she saw the tooth she started laughing. She didn't even care that she was bleeding. She was just so happy to have that tooth out. Her class sang to her at school and the tooth fairy came last night. What a lucky girl!

Piano Recital

Camren had her Spring piano recital tonight. She did such a great job. It amazes me all of the things her piano teacher has her doing. She is doing scales and cords right now. Her hands are to small, but she stretches them and makes it work for her.
Here's a recording of the recital. Camren was nervous, but I think she did wonderful. She is playing "Happy Family".

Inspired

I've been wanting to make bows for the girls for a long time. I was inspired by all of the cute hair things you've all been making. Then I remembered why I don't do these kinds of projects. My ribbon ends up in a knot. I did make Sadie a cute flower for her hair though. She even has enough hair to clip it in.

Hailey is such a girly girl. One thing that I never have been able to do is curl her hair. She has always had the straightest hair that won't hold a curl for anything. I finally went and got some sponge rollers for her. She did a great job at keeping them in. The end result is so cute. I asked her last night if she want to put them in again. She was so excited.

Mustache!

Okay so its been a while since we revealed the stach. I got a lot of comments about it, but haven't written about it because 1. I can't get a good picture of it and 2. I am just now resigning myself to the fact that my husband has a mustache. I am not a fan of it and I can tell you this because Chris is not either.
Heres the question. Does it really make him look that much older? Apparently, Chris doesn't look a day over 20 without it. People like their doctors older and wiser.

Roodis Mom

Yesterday we had a busy morning. We needed to go to swimming lessons, be at a birthday party, and host a baby shower all within a 2 1/2 hour time frame. Chris was at work so it was up to me to get everyone where they needed to be. I spent the morning getting Camren to her swimming lesson and then to her Birthday party. Without being too late and trying to help out with the baby shower that I was hosting. Everyone made it to where they were supposed to go and had a great time, but by the time we got home Sadie was exhausted and needed to go to sleep. She does not sleep well when it is noisy so I sent Camren and Hailey down to the playroom. Explaining to them that they could talk and have as much fun as they wanted down there, but if they stayed up stairs they would have to sit quietly and read books. They chose the playroom. So for about five minutes they went down stairs. After that every minute or so one of them would come up to see when they could come out. Each time waking Sadie up. Finally I put a chair in front of the door so that they would stay in. Explaining again that they could play and do whatever they want as along as they stayed in the playroom. Camren didn't like it that I locked them in so she wrote me a note. It says:

"Roodis mom everevrevre. Luve Camren."
Translation "Rudest mom ever ever ever. Love Camren."

So I just spent the morning stressing out to make sure her life is fun and letting them play instead of taking a nap and I get a mean note for it. While this is happening Chris comes home from work. Camren writes him a note too. It Says:

"nisis Dad Evrevrevr. Luve Camren & Hailey"
Translation "Nicest dad ever ever ever. Love Camren & Hailey"

He gets a love letter just because he comes home from work? Don't get me wrong I love it when he comes home to, but sometime you just can't win.

Sheetrock!

It has been so fun to watch our house being built. We usually go out once a week to see the progress. They had put up all of the sheetrock this week. It was fun to see the house with actual rooms!

The kids in the dining room.

Sadie Chillin' in the family room.

Chris is taking this picture from the living room. The door on the right in the laundry room. Upstairs where is should be!

Something fun

Camren, Hailey, and Sadie

This picture freaked me out when I first looked at it.

What a week!

This week I am wondering if vacations are really worth it. I wonder this after every vacation because my kids usually come home sick. This time it has been especially bad. All three of them came home with a cough that keeps you up all night. Then Sadie came down with something that looks a lot like chicken pox all over her body. Poor thing she looks terrible and has lost her appetite. The doctor says its nothing to worry about. The next day after being up all night with Hailey we were back at the doctors office. This time Hailey has an ear infection and fluid in her lungs. Last night she was so tired I found her asleep next to the toilet with her pants still off. She looked so cute, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Hopefully the worst is over and we can all get some much needed sleep.

Home at Last!!

We finally found it! We have been house hunting for about two months now. Back in January we ruled out building a house. So we got ourselves a realtor and started the search for our "perfect" house. After looking at about 50 houses we decided to change our strategy. Last week we went out and found this great little house. Its kind of the best of both worlds. We don't have to do a ground start up, but I do get to pick out all of the finishing touches for the inside.
We are really excited about our new find. Its in a great neighborhood and it looks like there will be lots of kids around for the girls to play with. Which is what sold me on the house. I couldn't get excited about anything without knowing that they would have friends around to play with.
I'm sure we'll be out there at least once a week. I'll keep you updated with the progress.

Things to come!

The weather around here the last couple of days has been wonderful. It's been warm enough for the kids to play outside in the back yard and enjoy it for more than a half an hour at a time. I have been enjoying being able to send them out to burn off all of the energy they have. Until this afternoon when Camren realized that she could scream as loud as she wanted and nobody would stop her. This went on for 5 minutes or so. I started to feel sorry for the neighbors, so I asked her to stop. After about ten more minutes she finally did. I was trying to explain to her why she couldn't scream so loud and it hit me I tortured my neighbors when I was younger to. Hopefully this is not the start of something awful for our future neighbors!

I was a little monster in my younger days and I'm sure my neighbor thought so to. We loved to play tricks on her. One time we tried to sell her some gum wrappers. After maybe three attempts her husbands finally came to the door. He told us that if we ever came back he would cut our ears off. Then made a scary face. We ran off screaming.(He really was a nice man) We deserved it. After that we would knock on their door and run away. This got so bad that they called the police on us.

She used to go to bed early every night. We knew it and it was our goal to wake her up. In the summer we slept out on our trampoline every night. It was our goal to see how loud and obnoxious we could be. When she would come out to tell us to be quiet we would all hide under our sleeping bags and pretend to be asleep. She would yell at us for awhile and then go back into her house. I don't know how she was so patient, but there was one time she turned the sprinklers on us. Ending our fun for the night.

I don't know how many summer this went on for. I hope not many. I don't ever remember getting in trouble for it either. My parent had to know it was happening, but I don't know if they ever did anything to stop us. So here is my official apology to my poor neighbors. I am so sorry! I will try to keep our kids from torturing any future neighbors.

There's not a lot going on here. So I gave my blog a face lift. Its kind of hard to look at, but I LOVE yellow. I won't keep it up for to long. It just makes me happy to look at it.

A. The rules are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people by posting their names; then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged.

10 years ago:

I was in my first year of college. Sadly, I didn't do that well. The Month after I moved out from under the wings of my parents my mom was diagnosed with cancer. It was a very traumatic time and instead of studying I spent my time driving back and forth to see my mom.

On a lighter note in a about six months from now I will meet Chris. We will become instant friends and by this time the next year we are kissing friends!(still not dating each other)

Snacks I enjoy:
I really love pineapple and watermelon.

My guilty pleasure is Chocolate.

I eat candy. The truth is I have no will power. Even if I don't think that it tastes good I still eat it.

Five things on my to-do list today:
This is the true list. My lucky day.

  1. Help Camren with piano
  2. FHE
  3. Take dinner to someone.
  4. play in snow
  5. Grocery shopping

This is not a normal list. Usually my #1 goal is to survive the day.

Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:

Honestly, I don't think I would want to be a billionaire. Money makes me nervous. However, if I did turn into a billionaire I would buy a summer house in Maine and get my pilots license so I could go there when ever I wanted. I would travel the world. I would give some to Chris and he would be the one to help out our families. He is way more generous than I am. Then we would invest the rest.

Three of my bad habits:

Getting upset with the kids.

Sitting around thinking that I have so much to do.

Sleeping in.

Five places I have lived:

Idaho
Utah
Missouri
Pennsylvania
Colorado

Jobs I have had:

Hot Dog stand worker
Treadmill maker
Hardware Cashier
Cell Phone Customer Service
IRS worker
Ortho Assistant
Ice Cream Server

Things people don't know about me:

I have anxiety issues. This is probably not such a surprise if you've ever gotten a phone call from me. I don't like the phone. I check my doors at least twice a night. Can't sleep at night unless I know that they are locked. I am afraid of medicine. These are a few of my anxieties. Maybe someday I'll tell you more about this.

I tag:
My list of bloggers isn't that big yet. These are the people I don't think have been tagged.

Camren's Wedding

Camren is obsessed with getting married. She wakes up in the morning has breakfast and then goes down stairs and gets on her wedding dress. She stays in it until she has to go to school and then as soon as she gets home she is back in her wedding dress. Some of the things that she come up with in her head are so funny to me. Mostly because I don't know where it comes from. For example, today she came upstairs all upset. I asked her what was wrong. This is what she had to say. Keep in mind that she only knows that 70 and 60 are big numbers.

Camren
: My husband just asked me to marry him.
Me: Sounds okay to me.
Camren: No its not he is like 70. I told him He would be dead by the time I'm ready to get married.

The other day we were playing and she decided that she needed to have a rest before her wedding. I told her that was probably a good idea so that she could think clearly at her wedding. This is how the conversation went after that.

Camren
: Don't worry mom I already talked with my husband and I know that we both like to go hiking and fishing. I don't know though because he likes to build things and I don't.
Me: Its okay if you don't like to build, he can make you a house and then you can decorate it.
Camren: Oh, I like decorating. I guess it will be okay.

Awhile back she came upstairs. Hailey was following behind her.

Camren
: Hello Mrs. would you like to meet my husband.
Me: Sure
Camren: This (Hailey) is my husband. We are getting married today. We have like 40 kids.
Me: oh yeah.
Camren: Yeah, we adopted them my husband is like 60 years old.

What's for dinner?

My kraft magazine came in the mail last week. I usually don't make the recipes in it, but I like to look through it to get ideas. Then I look for different recipes that don't use cream cheese or soup in them. I had one hour on Monday where I didn't have to take the kids grocery shopping with me so I hurried and made a list from the kraft magazine and other things that are quick and easy. Everyday this week we are having soup in some form or another.

My menu
  • Hawaiian Hay stacks (made with cream of chicken)
  • Chicken enchiladas (made with cream of mushroom)
  • Chicken pot pie(made with cream of chicken)
  • French dip (made with beef consume)
  • Soup and bread bowls (not Campbell's, Homemade)
  • Shepherd's Pie (okay not soup, but it does have cream cheese)

I know! But it will probably happen again. It was worth the hour of alone time.

Life is good!

For the past six months Chris has been working these crazy insane hours. He usually works six days a week and sometimes they are 12 hour shifts. Plus add a move and a new baby. Wow its been very overwhelming. I've always thought that I was pretty good with change, but this one has thrown me for a loop. You might be asking why life is good? Well for the last three weeks Chris has only been working 4 days a week with two twelve hour shifts. I like having him around and so do the girls. Our whole house feels a lot calmer and I finally feel like I can breath again. Such a good feeling!

Snowball Fight!

We have been having a blast with all of the snow! We've made snowmen in our back yard complete with a baby carrot noses. Had snowball fights. And eaten a ton of snow! Chris finally had a day off the other day and took the girls sledding. They had a great time until Camren ran into a bush.
Here is a video of their first snow ball fight! Hailey and Camren have so much fun together. I am so glad that they are such good friends.
